Share the joy of birding—and help someone discover it maybe for the first time! One of the best things about Seabrook Island Bird club is our members’ generosity in helping others experience the excitement of watching and learning about birds.
The recent addition of Seafields has brought new residents eager to explore our bit of paradise—and birding is a wonderful place to start. Last May, a group of our members hosted the inaugural Sit, Sip and See on the back veranda of Seafields, overlooking Andell Lake.
That first outing gave us plenty to celebrate! Residents and staff members learned to use binoculars and scopes as we spotted Great Blue Heron, Double-crested Cormorant, a mini rookery inhabited by Cattle Egrets, and more. Best of all, five attendees became SIB members for 2026—a wonderful reminder of what sharing our enthusiasm can spark.
Let’s keep that enthusiasm going! Our next Sit, Sip and See is Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 4 PM. We’re looking for up to five SIB members to join activity leader Shar Fink and help share the fun of Watching and Learning.
