Spring has sprung! Our visit last April to Annalee Regenburg’s back yard was a witness of again so many Egrets, Anhinga, Wood Storks, Little Blues and many other species nesting. Annalee’s house backs up to the Great White Egret Rookery. The females sit on their nests all day and the males come into the nests in the evenings. We plan on observing this wonderful, sometimes noisy event. There are some nice chairs to sit on. There are so many to look at and some are very tucked in. Its fun to see and hear them all at once. One year some Spoonbills made an appearance.
As always, be sure to bring your water, binoculars, hats and sunscreen.
